Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl

A quick, healthy and refreshing breakfast recipe to make sure you start the day right. This berry smoothie bowl is made with just 3 ingredient and tastes just as good as having ice cream for breakfast!

The ingredients for this recipe are super simple. You will need:

  1. Frozen bananas. Bananas are a crucial base for this smoothie bowl recipe to achieve the right consistency. You can cut up and freeze your own bananas like I did or buy a packet of frozen bananas from the grocery store. If you use fresh fruit, you will get the consistency of a normal smoothie. The ice in the frozen fruit works well to make this smoothie bowl thick and delicious.

  2. Frozen Berries. These are key to adding flavour to the smoothie bowl as well as a bright and vibrant colour. I used strawberries and raspberries for a bright pink colour, but feel free to use your favourite berries. The same goes as the bananas, make sure they are well frozen to achieve the right consistency.

  3. Yoghurt. This makes the smoothie bowl full of flavour and extra creamy. I used strawberry yoghurt but any flavour of yoghurt works well with this recipe.

Optional :

4. Toppings. I used fresh berries, muesli and strawberry syrup. You can use a variety of toppings to make your smoothie bowl stand out and be visually pleasing. One of my favourite things about this recipe is that it is always perfectly aesthetic for Instagram.
